01Who can use joballa
joballa is only for people aged 18 or over. Eighteen is the minimum age to obtain a national identity card in Cameroon, and identity verification is a core part of the platform. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we hold data belonging to a person under 18, we delete it.

04Automated review of content
To keep the platform safe, job postings are scanned automatically to detect scams, illegal work and other content that breaks our rules. Verification documents may also be checked automatically to help detect forgery and confirm a document is legible and valid.
This review uses AI services provided by Anthropic and Google. Content sent for review may include the text of a job posting or an image of a submitted document. Under our agreements with these providers, that content is not used to train their models.
Automated review never makes a final decision on its own where that decision would significantly affect you. A person on the joballa team reviews and decides every identity verification, every rejection and every account suspension. If a decision affects you and you disagree with it, write to info@joballa.com and ask a person to look at it again.
06International transfers
joballa operates in Cameroon, but some of the service providers above store or process data on servers outside Cameroon, including in the European Union and the United States. Where data is transferred outside Cameroon, we rely on the contractual protections offered by those providers, which require them to protect the data and process it only on our instructions.

08Deleting your account and your data
You can delete your joballa account at any time, in the mobile app under Settings → Account → Delete account, on the website under Settings → Account → Delete account, or by writing to info@joballa.com with the subject “Account deletion request”.
Deletion through the app or the website takes effect immediately. Requests sent by email are completed within 30 days, and usually within 14.
Permanently deleted
- Your profile, photo and generated CV
- Your identity documents, selfie and verification records
- Mobile Money numbers saved for payouts
- Saved jobs, application drafts and notifications
- Your password, sign-in details, sessions, devices and activity logs
Kept, without anything that identifies you
Records of payments, completed engagements, disputes and their outcomes, and ratings and reviews are kept. These are required for accounting and tax purposes, and the other party to a job is entitled to keep a record of work that was completed and money that changed hands. Once your account is deleted, these records are detached from your name, contact details, documents and photo, and cannot be used to identify you.
A deleted account cannot be recovered or signed into again.
